Sarah and Pat’s Destination Thai Wedding

Sarah and Pat, two Brits who fell hopelessly in love after swiping right, celebrated their big day with friends and family at the gorgeous Trisara Villa 2 in Phuket. And it was such a pleasure being a part of their special day.

Stam and I could feel their energetic and lively spirit from the get-go. Their destination wedding proved to be such a romantic and fun-filled affair (they ended up in the swimming pool on inflatable unicorns, for goodness sake). If that doesn’t scream a good time, we don’t know what does.

But on a serious note, their proposal details are equally as wonderful. It took place at a private waterfall deep in the Costa Rican jungle. Pat did the age-old on-the-knee proposal, and as Sarah exclaimed, “Yes!” a butterfly appeared out of nowhere and flew across the water. An omen? We like to think so.

As for their chosen venue, a Thai wedding was definitely on the cards. And Trisara, a five-star resort in Phuket, only complimented their gorgeous style.

They celebrated with four bridesmaids, five groomsmen, and 32 of their fabulous friends and family flying in from Bermuda, Germany, Sweden, United States, The U.K, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

And while the whole day was pure magic, Sarah and Pat felt that their favourite moments were taking a time out to adore their surroundings, and hearing Alex Greg playing Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros on the violin before the ceremony (which helped to calm the nerves).

They also loved their reception party, which comprised of guests planking on the dancing floor, diving off ladders into a swimming pool, and spending time on inflatables in Trisara’s luxury pool.

Needless to say, their Thai wedding was the party they’d always dreamed of, leaving fond and joyful memories for all involved.
