With an abundance of tropical beaches, royal palaces, and sacred temples, Thailand is quickly becoming a favourite amongst those preparing to tie the knot. And while planning your destination wedding from the other side of the world may seem completely overwhelming, the mere thought of a fresh sea breeze and an inviting tropical climate is enough to make you forget about your troubles, even if only for a while…

The Internet helps too, of course.

Which is why Liam, an award winning Sri Panwa wedding photographer, and his partner, Stam, have given their thoughts on a list of top 5 wedding venues for your insatiable destination wedding.

1. Trisara Phuket

With a tagline of, “The garden in the third heaven,” it’s no doubt that Trisara has the ability to turn any special event into an extraordinary one. Not only that, but this venue’s philosophy centres around celebrations and social gatherings.

For weddings, you can enjoy your special day with 30-80 guests, depending on which location you choose. Would you like your ceremony to take place “amidst an ancient ficus grove, along a pristine shoreline, or in a private residence with spectacular vistas”? Which ever you choose, it’s safe to say that Trisara Phuket will offer you the most amazing experience that you will remember for a lifetime.

2. Sri Panwa Phuket

This resort and spa hotel in Phuket boasts a number of outstanding awards for excellent service and magnificent amenities, as well as a rooftop bar that has gained raving reviews. And as a Sri Panwa wedding photographer, Liam wholeheartedly agrees that this location is simply heaven on earth with its 360 degree sunset deck, Baba’s Nest.

Sri Panwa is set on a hillside plot that drops down to a white-sand beach, and the rooms and villas feature balconies, private infinity pools, and jacuzzis.

For events, the Sunset Lounge offers breathtaking views and refreshing cocktails, while the Baba Nest restaurant has a unique yet modern feel to it, with beautiful floating lights that hang from the ceiling. And if you’re interested in the exceedingly talented Sri Panwa wedding photographer, Liam Collard, we strongly recommend you get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

3. Sava Beach Villas

Keen to move away from the tourists while still remaining close enough to the action? Sava Beach Villa is a mere 30-minute drive from Phuket airport, and boasts five luxury beachfront villas and two three-story villas. Together, these seven villas offer 39 bedrooms, which eradicates the hassle of finding suitable accommodation for traveling guests.

The venue is fully equipped to cater for weddings at any time of year. Although, they strongly recommend a month outside of monsoon season (November – April), unless you’d like to have a monkey’s wedding ( a South African term for a sun-shower).

And even though the Sava Beach Villa is famous for its outstanding wedding ceremonies, it also boasts a shared gym and two villas that have their own private spa room.

4. Como Point Yamu, Phuket

At the tip of Cape Yamu, lies Como Point Yamu – a beautiful resort with luxury rooms, suites, and villas designed by Italian designer, Paola Navone. From sunrise yoga and wellness facilites, to beach picnics and diving, this resort has simply got it all.

The resort offers three wedding packages – the Thai Ceremony Package, the Western Ceremony Package and the Como Beach Club Wedding. The latter takes place on a secluded island, where the happy couple can say their vows with their feet in the sand. The venue can hold a maximum of 200 guests, depending on your chosen package.

Add in the sweet touch of an amazing Thai wedding photographer, and you’ve got yourself memories that will last longer than you had ever anticipated.

5. Conrad Koh Samui

If Koh Samui has stolen your heart when it comes to your destination wedding, then the Conrad Koh Samui is a must-see. The venue has the capacity to hold 200 guests, and you can say your sweet ‘I do’s’ whilst standing barefoot on the beach, or at the resort’s signature wedding facility – a transparent stage overlooking the sea.

Having said that, It’ll come as no surprise that the Conrad Koh Samui luxury pool villa resort received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2017 and was the winner of Asia’s Leading Honeymoon Resort by the World Travel Awards 2015.

Add in all of your additional frills and thrills to make it a day that sparks magic for you and your partner – you won’t regret it.
