The Rachamankha Boutique Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand is a location that holds absolute beauty and poise.

Situated in the old city, and a stone-throw away from the iconic Phra Singh Temple, this hotel has been the setting for many a fairytale wedding. In fact, Sara and Pierre are two love birds who simply adored every second of their dream wedding at this perfect location.

“We wanted an elegant, unique, and intimate space for our wedding,” said the newlyweds, when asked about their decision to marry at the magical Rachamankha Boutique Hotel.

But first, the story of how these two lovely people met…

Bride, Sara – an American national, met her husband, Pierre from France, at the University of Virginia while they were both studying for their undergraduate degree. It was here that this international couple’s love blossomed into something spectacular, leading to the ever-elusive four words, “Will you marry me?” – and Liam, a Rachamankha wedding photographer, could not have been happier when invited to photograph them on their special day.

So, on the 24th of February, 2018, Sara and Pierre, stood proudly alongside one another and said, “I do”. The sensational ceremony was witnessed by 80 of their closest friends and family, many of whom traveling far and wide in order to be there. From Australia, Panama, and Switzerland, to Latvia,Hong Kong, and France, the vibe was rich with love, and inspiration.

And with their Rachamankha wedding photographer, Liam, and his partner Stam, close by, each and every moment was meticulously captured, so that the sheer magic of the day could be remembered forever.

After the ceremony, a fantastic reception took place at the same location, which allowed Liam, their Rachamankha wedding photographer, enough time to really capture the feeling of this incredible day. With photos varying in colour, subject, and style, it’s no wonder that Liam, a Rachamankha wedding photographer, and his partner Stam, absolutely loved being apart of this magical day.

“The Rachamankha Boutique Hotel is one of our favourite locations,” said Liam. “It’s a location rich with history and charm, and the architecture – in the style of Chinese dwellings – made for the most lovely setting.” And Sara and Pierre wholeheartedly agreed!

And despite the difficult choice of deciding their favourite memory, they finally agreed that their Thai water blessing ceremony was their best. “Everyone was able to share their personal blessings and wishes with us – very meaningful, and we think all our guests enjoyed it too,” said Sara – the glowing newly wed.

For their big day, Sara and Pierre decided against having bridesmaids and groomsmen. Instead, they wowed their guests with wedding attire fit for kings and queens.

Sara, who had her gown custom made, was the absolute belle of the ball, while Pierre’s custom made suit exuded confidence and style. Together, this power couple definitely brought a touch of sophistication and charm that was undeniable.

“Sara simply lit up the room with her gorgeous wedding gown,” said Stam, their Rachamankha wedding photographer. “I loved being apart of this wedding – perfect location, and a stunning couple tying the knot!”
