You simply cannot go wrong with a Cavo Ventus wedding. This location only adds to the palpable magic that is Greece and two people in love.

Couple embracing with Santorini view

On the 7th of October, 2017, more than 80 beautiful people gathered on the stunning island of Santorini in order to celebrate the love of Steffi and Philipp. And what an absolutely magical day it was!

The late summer sun graced the island, leaving all to enjoy the feeling of being sun-kissed with warmth and love. And the venue, Cavo Ventus, was nothing short of dream-worthy, with its fantastic views of the Caldera. As a Cavo Venus wedding photographer, one could not have asked for a better day in which to photograph two people in love.

In fact, Stam were honoured to photograph these two love birds at sunrise in some of Greece’s secret spots, away from the tourists, two days after their big day. In short, the entire Cavo Ventus wedding was just perfect.

But for Steffi and Philipp, the magic began way before that breathtaking sunny day in October of 2017. The ceremony and coming together of family and friends was merely the cherry on the cake when it comes to their love story.

These two German nationals met in Krefeld, Germany, and love blossomed effortlessly. With each day that passed, they found themselves more captivated with each other, and soon, they knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. These two lovers possessed a really special kind of energy that was simply infectious. For that reason, immortalizing their special Cavo Ventus wedding was nothing short of a pleasure for Liam and Stam.

The pair experienced their much sought-after proposal in breathtaking Mykonos – another Greek island, and so the fun began…the wedding planning!

Steffi and Philipp carefully reviewed their options in finding the perfect Cavo Ventus wedding photographer. They contacted Liam and Stam in early 2017, and their fantastic-sounding wedding was an offer that they simply could not refuse, with Liam, a Cavo Ventus wedding photographer, boldly exclaiming that this wedding was a real highlight of 2017.

So why did these two choose the graceful country of Greece to tie the knot? Steffi found it an amazing way in which to celebrate and honour her father’s heritage, as he was born in Greece. The beautiful pair also agreed that Greece was an absolute favourite when it came to dream destinations. They declared that it was a “mystical island,” and were in total agreement when choosing a Cavo Ventus wedding for their special day.

Then, when October came around, everything was beautiful organized, and close friends and family flew from several countries near and far. Some even came all the way from the U.S. in order to celebrate the big event! And as a Cavo Ventus wedding photographer, Liam’s expectations were pleasantly exceeded when it came to the weather, the views, and the diverse and beautiful guests.

Steffi celebrated the big day with two bridesmaids, Nana and Pinar, by her side, while Philipp had three groomsmen, Alex, Hanno, and Michael cheering him on. Together, their impeccable dress style and accompanying jewelry simply added a magical touch to an already perfect day.

Steffi wore a sensational dress from Anna Kara paired with shoes by Jimmy Choo, and it was arranged for her and her stunning bridesmaids to have their hair and makeup done by professional artist, Bella Hairstylist. Philipp looked exceptionally smart wearing a suit from Zegna. And with their engagement and wedding rings from Cartier, it goes without saying that these two really knew how to pull off a stylish and classic Cavo Ventus wedding.

Their exceptional wedding planning, flower arrangements, and musical entertainment was planned and executed by Thomas Politis, Anna Maria Xazoglou, and George Stamoulis, from FYE, and their delectable catering was courtesy of Mario Catering. The day was nothing short of perfection, with the two newly weds revealing that they did not have one specific favourite wedding day memory, but that they entire day was an absolute dream come true.

So, Cavo Ventus wedding photographer, Liam and his partner, Stam, would like to thank Steffi and Philipp for allowing them to capture their beautiful day, and would like to leave you with the following words:

“Steffi and Philipp, what an amazing couple you are! We were thrilled to photograph your big day, and wish you the very best in married life. You two are a true inspiration, and we hope to see you again soon!”

To end off, Liam and Stam would like to leave you with some additional photographs of their favourites from Greece and the U.K. You can find their favourites here, and some of their London favourites here. It goes without saying that these two are exceptionally talented and are continuously coming up with new and creative ways in which to add that little bit of magic to any special event.
