Couples often worry about the logistics of hiring a photographer for a destination wedding. They want to know how the photographer manages travel arrangements, equipment transport, and scouting the venue in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day. We manage all this for you and make suggestions that will fit in with all your timelines so everything goes to plan.
2. What Are the Additional Costs Involved?
Understanding the full cost is a major concern for many of our couples. They frequently ask about additional fees, such as travel expenses, accommodation, and any potential extra charges for working in a different country or region. for us we do not charge for weddings in the UK or Thailand as we are based there for some of the year, but weddings in Europe or beyond we do ask for two airfares and a couple of nights accommodation near the venue.
3. How Do You Adapt to Different Locations and Cultures?
We always respect local customs and sensibilities but this doesn’t mean we cannot enjoy making the local culture and backdrop part of wedding photos, after all you are getting married in an exotic location that you love for a reason.
4. How Far in Advance Should We Book You?
For destination weddings 12 months in advance is ideal so flights and accommodation can be confirmed. We also have a lot of commitments with other couples and only do a limited number of weddings per year so to avoid disappointment it is best to get in touch as soon as you confirm your venue
5. Can We See Examples of Your Previous Destination Wedding Work?
It is a great idea as a final check to ask your photographer for a full wedding gallery. We always offer this so you can see the quality of work over 600 plus images and not just a small highlights reel we posted on Instagram. For our couples privacy we only do this once we have spoken to couples and they are fairly sure they want to go ahead so contact us today to set up a time for us to speak.
