We know that things are rough at the moment, and that wedding planning for future brides and grooms have had to take a back seat during this chaotic time of COVID-19. We also know that many weddings have had to be cancelled or postponed during this world crisis.

But just because you’re home in self-isolation doesn’t mean that you need to bring all of your wedding plans to a halt.

In fact, now is the perfect time to get a lot of things done that you perhaps may not have had the time for initially.

Let’s turn lemons into lemonade…

5 Things You Can Do at Home to Keep Your Wedding Planning on Track

Did you know that some of the most important wedding planning can be done remotely?

And doing so now will give you a better chance in having all of your ducks in a row when it comes to the big day.

1. Find your Ideal Wedding Venue

Before you visit wedding venues, you’ll research them online, right?

Why not start researching where you’d like to get married, whether it’s a destination wedding or one in your hometown, and checking out some of the wedding venues in that area. You can also start reading reviews, and calling or emailing the venues if you have any questions.

Jot down your favourite spots, and when things have settled down, you can plan to visit.

2. Shortlist Wedding Photographers

After you’ve gotten an idea of where you’d like to get married, you can start to research wedding photographers in the area.

Alternatively, you can look out for destination wedding photographers if you’re choosing to go that route.

If you find one or more that catch your eye, use your time to read their reviews, and look at their portfolio and social media pages. If you’re sold, get in contact and start chatting.

3. Order Wedding Suits or Tuxedos

While the process for the bride-to-be is more tricky when it comes to wedding attire, grooms are fairly easy.

This means that you can easily check out different online stores for your wedding suit or tuxedo.

And for most countries, online shopping is still possible, making this one more thing to check off your wedding to-do list.

4. Speak to Your Wedding Planner

If you’ve opted to hire a wedding planner, reach out to them about what it involves to postpone suppliers and services.

Or, if you’re taking on all the wedding planning yourself and have already been in touch with suppliers and other companies, use this time to contact them to find out your options.

5. Find Wedding Inspo!

Pinterest is probably the most fun on the Internet today, so if you’re still in the early wedding planning stages, use this platform to find some wedding inspiration!

Alternatively, there are tons of blogs and websites dedicated to making wedding dreams come true, like Junebug Weddings, for example. Or take a look at our 46-page luxury wedding guide for some new ideas!
