Experience Magic: The Top 8 Wedding Destinations for 2020/2021

From lesser-known pieces of heaven on earth to more popular destination wedding locations, we’re sure you’ll find the perfect place in this list of top 8 wedding destinations.

Allow your love to take you to French Polynesia, Thailand, Spain, or even South Africa, because you and your partner deserve the best.

1. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

This small island is saturated with a turquoise lagoon, bungalows perched over water on stilts, and entertaining water sports.

And if your dream wedding involves secluded and private beaches, and starlit skies, we recommend the Four Seasons Hotel.

What’s also amazing about Bora Bora, is the fact that it can definitely double-up as a serene and romantic location for your honeymoon.

2. Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda

Found in the West Indies, Antigua is an island that’s gloriously packed with sandy beaches, an impressive climate all-year-round, and many natural attractions.

Antigua is one of our top 8 wedding destinations in 2020/2021 simply because of its beach vibe.

Having said that, we recommend a beach ceremony on one of the most famous beaches in Antigua, such as Half Moon Bay, Dickenson Bay, Darkwood Beach, or Pigeon Beach.

3. Phuket, Thailand

Phuket is, and most likely will be for a long time to come, a big winner amongst couples in love. This is because of its sheer beauty, laid back vibe, climate, and low prices.

And because we’ve had the pleasure of shooting a number of weddings in Phuket, we recommend you check out the Banyan Tree. This five-star hotel is award-winning, and the ultimate getaway paradise for couples and their nearest and dearest.

We also recommend checking out Catch Beach Club for get togethers or even reception parties. It’s the Thailand lifestyle, encapsulated, and a favourite among locals and travelers.

4. Cancun, Mexico

If your idea of romance is joining souls with your partner whilst staring out at the crystal-clear Caribbean, then Cancun in Mexico may just be your fairytale wedding destination.

What’s also amazing about choosing Cancun, especially for those in the United States, is the fact that it’s an easy hop for guests to attend, and it’ll probably be a lot cheaper than a wedding in the U.S.

Also, you can decide on a variety of different styles of wedding in Cancun, like a cenote wedding at the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort, a gazebo wedding, a beach wedding, a sky terrace wedding, a villa wedding, a garden/jungle wedding, or a chapel wedding.

5. Florence, Italy

Enjoy your magical day in this Tuscan region filled with historical, artistic, and cultural heritage. Florence is one of the most romantic spots in Italy for couples in love, brimming with elegance.

It’s not too small, yet not too big, and has a number of magnificent wedding locations.

If you’re after a more traditional Italian wedding, you may want to consider the Romanesque Church, which can be found in the heart of Florence. And for your reception, a luxury and romantic villa. Absolute bliss.

6. Cape Town, South Africa

Enjoy a city surrounded by beaches and mountains for your special day by choosing a wedding in sunny Cape Town, South Africa.

One such venue that’ll take your breath away, is Landtscap.

It’s got gorgeous views of the Stellenbosch mountains, and offers an array of exceptional catering and decor options.

Chapman's Peak Cape Town

7. Santorini, Greece

An oldie but a goodie, Santorini will always be a favourite for many couples in love.

Found in the middle of the Mediterranean and decorated beautifully with old villages and historical churches, it’s simply a dream for brides and grooms. Needless to say, your day and your wedding photos will be something straight out of a fairytale.

Some of our favourite wedding venues in Santorini are Cavo Ventus, Thermes Luxury Villas, and Dana Villas so we definitely encourage you to check them out!

8. Cala Blava, Spain

Cala Blava in Majorca is a spot that’s not overly touristic, and offers a slew of quiet and intimate spots in which to profess your love.

One of the most beautiful venues to consider would be that of Cap Rocat, a former military fortress beside the sea that offers panoramic terrace views of the bay of Palma.

And while it’s been refurbished since its fortress days, it still holds unique architecture that you and your guests will surely fall in love with.
