What a wonderful September day to get married in Thailand on Bo Phut Beach, Koh Samui. The weather was extraordinarily beautiful, sunny with a light breeze, amazing blue skies and enough cloud for a spectacular sunset in the evening, setting a dramatic backdrop for a special set of bride and groom portraits.

Newlyweds Marcus and Lindsey live in Hong Kong, but decided to have their dream destination wedding at the Samujana Villas, Koh Samui Island, Thailand the most exclusive estate on Koh Samui. Samujana’s design seamlessly blends contemporary luxury with Thai architecture, all villas offer unadulterated sea views and are perfectly positioned to enjoy spectacular sunrise and sunsets.

Our favourite wedding photograph of the day actually took place while Lindsey was getting ready with her bridesmaids, we love the candid black and white image of Lindsey in her wedding dress, reflected in the bathroom mirror, with such a great thoughtful expression.

There was very exciting news shared at the ceremony when Lindsey and Marcus announced they were expecting their first baby, as you can imagine this made for an even more emotional wedding day celebration, huge congratulations to you both! It was a very family focussed affair with guests coming from all over the world including; Taiwan, the US, Canada and Hong Kong, to be there with them on their very special day.

The happy couple hired the amazing services of local wedding planners Dreamcatcher Events run by Khun Aey and her Finnish husband, providing exceptional event entertainment with a fire dancing show and fireworks, amazing event lighting and of course great catering. They also hired a Photobooth by Photobooth Thailand, which was incredibly good fun for all the guests, taking silly pictures and leaving short video messages for the bride and groom. Their wedding day celebration ended up with a fabulously crazy party leading late into the evening, mainly attended by the younger crowd, capturing some really energetic photojournalism with lots of smiles and laughter, a really great night to be a Thailand wedding photographer.
