Nick and Katie’s Destination Wedding in Kamala, Thailand

What a wonderfully intimate affair and a true honour for Liam Collard Photography to be asked to be Katie and Nicks professional photographers to cover their big day in Phuket, Thailand. The bride and groom both from Sydney, Australia decided to have a small and cosy destination wedding in a stunning private villa above Kamala on Phuket’s West Coast.

Nick and Katie’s destination wedding in Kamala, was a truly amazing wedding experience to capture, the weather was perfect, and the bride and groom were such good fun to work with. We photographed a great portfolio of beautiful images that will last these guys a lifetime to look back over. We’ve picked out our favourite wedding day shots to cover in this blog, it was very hard to edit, but we especially liked the cigar smoking shot towards the end of the night and the sunset that provided us with one stunning couple portrait of Katie and Nick standing by the pool with a backdrop of deep red sky. A great day, and thank you so much for inviting us along to your beautiful wedding, see you in Sydney guys in March to hand deliver your wedding day album x

Honour Village Cambodia – Photographic Study

Honour Village CambodiaThanks to everyone at Honour Village Cambodia and to the Sponsors in HK for making this wonderful, evocative and incredible experience possible. The idea for this charity shoot was to raise awareness for this beautifully run British charity that supports the development of the local community by offering paid employment in the area, a safe home for children who need it and free education in both Khmer & English to the surrounding village children.

Some of the sponsors of Honour Village in Hong Kong, suggested that we set up a photography shoot to tell the story of the kids daily lives daily lives to raise awareness of the charities amazing work in the local area around Siem Reap. This set the wheels in motion and six months later we were on the ground in Cambodia with the aim of taking some photos that could be used at a fundraiser in HK in the later part of 2013. The Vimeo pictorial slideshow has some of these images pieced together from the two moving days i spent with these children in Cambodia.  They were all an absolute pleasure to spend time with, were extremely kind and amazingly happy despite life having dealt them a tough hand. I have included my favourite shots to go with the slideshow, but please contact Honour Village if you want to
