A Stunning Santorini Wedding — Anna & David

Anna and David’s stunning Santorini wedding at Dana Villas in Firostefani was perhaps our most favourite destination wedding of the year, starting off the Greek wedding season right!

We first met up with Anna and David in London in December 2014 to discuss their wedding. They brought their adorable son Joshua to the meeting and we had a really great time listening to all their plans for the day. It was wonderful getting to know the lovely couple, and having spent this time with them made it even easier to capture meaningful wedding photographs as well.

It was obvious from the get-go that a lot of thought had gone into the day, which was planned by Julia Nicolaou at Santorini Glam Weddings. While the bride and groom wanted their wedding to have a Greek theme, inspired by their venues, they also wanted to honour David’s Chinese heritage with a Chinese tea ceremony on the morning of the wedding. This was a really unique and touching part of the day. The venue for this ceremony, and, later, the wedding ceremony, was Dana Villas, a beautiful old church that has been converted into a small hotel, with the white walls and blue shutters typical of Cycladic design. To fit the stunning venue, bride Anna, who is half Finnish and half English, had chosen a Grecian-style gown by Ritva Westenius. She and her wedding party had their hair done by stylist Bella Damigou and their makeup done by artist Renia Bledaki.
