Angela and Kevin’s Pre-Wedding Photoshoot Thailand – Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket

On this very hot November day Liam Collard Photography had the pleasure of capturing Angela and Kevin’s pre-wedding photoshoot Thailand on the tranquil Siray Island, Phuket with white sandy beaches and idyllic crystal blue waters.

The weather was so hot that day that we left the beach for a Sea Gypsy settlement on Siray Island, to cover the first two hours of their pre wedding photoshoot in the shade to avoid direct sunlight. The Sea Gypsy people were so friendly and inviting to us, that they actually feature in a number of our final edit shots. This nomadic population have their own culture and language, separate from traditional Thai people, they do not have a written history so no one is 100% sure where they originally came from.

We then made our way back to the beach below The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket a five star luxury resort hotel, which overlooks the idyllic Siray Bay, providing a tropical elegance backdrop for our sunset couple photographs. Angela and Kevin both travelled from Washington, USA to ensure such a unique setting for their engagement photoshoot, our favourite image is the couple portrait silhouetted on the beach walking into the sunset.

Angela hired the superb services of the renowned Neil Donkin at Elite Hair and Makeup Phuket for her pre-wedding photoshoot.

Pre Wedding Photoshoot, Phuket Thailand – Lali and Esson

Late in the afternoon on a very hot and sunny day, we had the privilege of covering Lali and Esson’s pre wedding photoshoot in Cape Panwa, Phuket, Thailand. As the to be bride and groom Lali and Esson live in Canada, they made arrangements to stay at the fabulous destination wedding venue, Radisson Blu Plaza Resort Phuket Panwa Beach, located on the island’s southeastern coastline, against the picturesque Makham Bay.

The beachfront position of the Radisson Blu Resort provided an excellent base to wander around the local fishing villages, beaches and an old disused waterfront building providing a number of really quirky settings for their pre wedding photoshoot Phuket Thailand. Before we continued into the evening for the portrait night shots, we recharged our batteries grabbing a bite to eat in Thalang Road, a very popular area in Phuket’s Old Town, again perfectly positioning ourselves ready for the dusk streets shots against the atmospheric backdrop of the old town. Lali and Esson were full of personality with an amazing chemistry between themselves, ensuring a really relaxed environment and a fabulous set of pre wedding photos.

Dave and Cookhie Pre Wedding Photoshoot Singapore

This was a very special pre wedding photoshoot indeed for Stam and I to cover, as Dave is a very good friend of mine from School, we studied together at Bradfield College in Berkshire. His beautiful bride to be Cookhie is originally from Korea brought up in Stockholm in Sweden, but they met in Singapore where they both work and live. We took the opportunity to extend our trip for a proper catch up, arriving the evening before so we could dine with them in the Robertson Quay area making for a fantastic night full of chatter and fun.

We kicked off the pre wedding photoshoot the very next day, walking around the Central area of China Town, near Club Street, close to the financial district. Not only was the natural landscape of the city and the people providing some amazing backdrops, we had glorious weather too, the perfect combination for some really colourful street shots of the very dashing couple.

I particularly love shooting these natural urban style photoshoots, as you never quite know in advance what you might capture through the lens. On this particular day we were spoilt for choices, one of our favourite street photos is of Dave and Cookhie looking really relaxed, leant against a wall, with three Chinese locals in the foreground – one of whom is lighting a cigarette.

Later on in the afternoon we headed across to Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands area, a huge

Pre wedding photoshoot Gap and Camilla in Bangkok

Our latest photographic assignment took us up to Bangkok for a really wonderful pre wedding photoshoot with to be bride and groom Gap and Camilla. We always have a fantastic time in this amazing city, filled with such energy and shades of light. We decided to meet at Surasak BTS Skytrain and head out onto the streets for the last part of the day’s sunlight and dusk light. As Thailand based Wedding Photographer’s we get to frequently work with these amazing tropical evenings, always producing some spectacular images for our clients.

Camilla is originally from the UK but has lived here in Thailand for the last seven years and Gap is Thai but educated in the UK, so knows England very well, making them a perfectly suited couple. They were a really great to be bride and groom to work with, playful with each other, making sure the images were amazing by relaxing and having some fun with each other as we went around the city of Bangkok. They are getting married later this year and wanted to take some shots to show their friends and family on their wedding day, so decided to instruct Liam Collard Photography’s services sooner in order to complete their pre wedding photoshoot. We went for a long walk around local streets, then into a Sky Bar in central Bangkok, “the most stunning rooftop

Pre Wedding Photoshoot Hong Kong – Nick & Helen

What an incredible city HK is, walking through the bustling streets setting the perfect scene for Helen and Nicks pre wedding photoshoot Hong Kong, while capturing the atmosphere of real HK life.

Helen and Nick were a fantastic couple to work with, relaxed, glamorous and really keen to have some fun, perfect for producing some really great pre wedding photographs. My favourite shot has to be the street scene where a young local boy is blowing bubbles on a street corner, making a very unique street photo setting, profiling the happy couple within the same frame. We will meet again next month when Liam Collard Photography will be shooting their entire Thailand wedding day celebrations.
