Michelle & James’s Thailand Destination Wedding at Shanti, Jivana Villas

Having both studied at Loughborough University, Brits, Michelle and James met whilst in university. Michelle was in her first year, studying psychology and James, in his second year studying quantity surveying and commercial managing.

The pair felt an unimaginable connection with one another and, after dating for a while, James knew that Michelle was ‘the one’. For that reason, on a white sandy beach in Krabi, James organised a private dinner for the two of them and proposed in the form of a heart-shaped mango sticky rice pudding (Michelle’s favourite). Flabbergasted at first, Michelle finally came back down to earth and exclaimed that she would love to be James’s wife.

The pair chose to marry in Phuket due to Michelle’s Thai heritage and the fact that the island holds many special memories of the two of them. And so, even more memories were made on their big day – and they were encapsulated perfectly thanks to Liam and Stam’s gorgeous Thailand wedding photography.

The first time took place in the old city of Ibiza – a beautiful island in Spain, and the second – a more elaborate affair, happened in Zurich on Deb’s birthday. Iris & Duncan’s Magical Destination Wedding at the Conrad Koh Samui, Thailand

Getting married is arguably one of the most important days of one’s life, so it goes without saying that every little detail is usually exceptionally well-thought out and months are spent planning and arranging the perfect day. And one such couple who know this all too well, is Iris and Duncan.

The pair met at a birthday party in Hong Kong, after which it was clear that love was in the air. And when the time came for them to take their relationship to the next level, they both agreed that they wanted an intimate destination wedding. Something about the island of Koh Samui in Thailand simply spoke to them – “the amazing scenery, the ambience, and the abundant sunshine!”.

What was left? The proposal, of course! Iris revealed that Duncan popped the big question at home one evening in May 2016, after a black tie event. His logic was the fact that they were both dressed up in smart outfits, and that Iris had definitely not expected it…what a breath taking moment, for sure.

Tina & Matt’s Glamorous Wedding Photography at the Luxury Amanpuri Villa, Phuket

Tina & Matt’s international wedding celebration at the Amanpuri Villa, Phuket. What a fantastic way to start our 2016/2017 Thailand Wedding Season just one week after our trip to New York.

We first met Hong Kong expatriate’s Tina and Matt last April while photographing the marriage ceremony of their friend’s Robin & Jamee. Who threw a spectacular golf themed wedding at the Banyan Tree Resort in Phuket Thailand. As you can imagine we had been looking forward to this wedding for quite some time, and it didn’t disappoint!

Bride Tina and her partner Matt first set their eyes upon each other while socialising with friends at a bar in Hong Kong’s popular nightspot of Lang Kwai Fong.

The Proposal

Tina: “It was the first-time Matt took me to his family’s holiday home on Vancouver Island, a place very dear to his heart. We took a casual stroll along a pebble beach that his family calls White Shell Beach. Matt insisted we took a bottle of wine – why not J. We sat down on the pebbles and then Matt started to randomly ask my thoughts on a pebble in his hand…? It’s round, brownish black as pebbles tend to look like. I turned away, not thinking too much about his random question but the next pebble he proceeded to show me … was THE ring J.”

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

The couple chose Phuket, Thailand as it’s a place they call their home away from home both having holidayed there since they were young.  Tina with the help of

Susie & Michael’s Secluded Beach Wedding

Bride Susie and groom Michael are both Korean-American’s and first met at a friend’s party in New York City. They wanted a small and intimate destination wedding with close friends and family, so they could spend a few relaxed days together while enjoying everything a truly tropical destination wedding has to offer.

The Proposal: Michael’s proposal was ingenious and we salute his patience, waiting for the actual moment to arise! One of the first times they went away together they booked into a beautiful B&B in Vermont. Adam had a cunning proposal idea, he asked Susie help him do a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle, which actually took them all day to complete. You know that annoying moment when you’re missing the last piece, well that’s exactly what happened but of course there was a twist. Michael had placed, what turned out to be the last piece, into a jewellery box which he hid inside the closed puzzle box. Michael pretended to look for the piece while Susie grew increasingly agitated. Susie then decided to grab and shake the puzzle box, hurrah she heard something inside, so quickly tore it open and found a jewellery box… Michael quickly got on one knee and popped the question with the ring in his hand. After five seconds of silence, obviously in shock, Susie responded by asking “does that mean the missing piece is in here?” pointing to the jewellery box. Her first instinct was to finish the puzzle and then replied “Yes!” putting on her stunning engagement ring by jewellers Jerry Blickman.

The awesome New York couple arranged their small and intimate destination wedding at one of our favourite

Martyn and Gemma’s Lush Tropical Wedding, Rayavadee, Krabi Thailand

Stam and I first meet Scottish bride Gemma in Glasgow, about a year before her wedding. She gave a very detailed picture of her dream destination wedding in Thailand. We understood straight away that Gemma and Martyn’s wedding was going to be an intimate and relaxed affair.

Gemma and Martyn met in 2008 in their home town Falkirk in Scotland. And just four years later, very romantically on Christmas Day morning, Martyn proposed to his wife to be Gemma. She of course said yes and off they went to Christmas Day lunch at Gemma’s mum’s house with very exciting news!

Gemma: “We didn’t want a big wedding, just something small and intimate. Scottish weather is miserable, so we decided to go abroad. Martyn’s friend had mentioned a wedding he was at in Rayavadee. We took a look and fell in love!!”

The bride and groom wanted a tropical themed wedding and what a fabulous location they chose! Rayavadee, Krabi, Thailand is situated at the heart of the stunning Phranang Peninsular on the edge of Krabi Marine National Park. The Rayavadee Resort nestles discreetly amidst tropical gardens and coconut groves against a backdrop of sheer cliffs, lush jungle foliage and the clear waters of the Andaman Sea.
